Zheng, who received his BS from the University of Science and Technology of China and MS in Bioinformatics from Georgetown University, investigates the interactions between osmolytes (a class of metabolites) and tau protein, which is implicated in Alzheimer's disease. His research contributes to understanding how cellular metabolites influence protein aggregation in neurodegeneration.
Outside the laboratory, he enjoys cooking, studying Japanese culture, and analyzing e sports.
