Jash Mirani, from Farmington, Connecticut, is a second-year medical student at George Washington University School of Medicine with a background in Neuroscience from UNC Chapel Hill. His research experience includes work at UNC Neurological Imaging Research and Analysis Laboratories studying cerebrospinal fluid and Alzheimer's Disease, and as a Post-baccalaureate IRTA Fellow at the National Institute of Drug Abuse investigating dopamine's role in learning and cognitive map formation. In the Joshi lab, he is analyzing large biobank datasets to understand correlations between environmental stressors and neurodegenerative markers.

Outside of academics, he enjoys strength training, running, sports, hiking, and exploring the outdoors.
